Pros

Fortinet, as a leader in cybersecurity, is known for its technological innovation and growth. However, recent practices within the BDR (Business Development Representative) organization raise legitimate concerns regarding the integrity of the performance metrics used to evaluate success and their broader impact on both team morale and company reputation.

Cons

Key Concerns: Rewarding Fraudulent Activity: The issue of fraudulent meeting bookings has become a significant challenge. When BDRs are rewarded for booking illegitimate meetings, it distorts performance metrics and undermines the credibility of the organization. Continuing to reward such behavior without conducting due diligence raises serious concerns about accountability and transparency. This not only impacts team morale but also inflates expectations for others to meet unrealistic standards. Unrealistic Quotas Based on Manipulated Performance: Performance targets should be based on achievable, legitimate success, but when quotas are set according to the fraudulent behavior of a few individuals, it creates an environment of unfair competition. The added pressure from these unrealistic metrics can damage the team's productivity and lead to high turnover or even layoffs, as seen within the BDR organization. This can erode trust in the leadership's ability to set clear and fair goals. Erosion of Team Morale and Trust: When manipulative behavior is left unchecked, and even celebrated, it sends a damaging message to employees who are working with integrity. This undermines their efforts, creates resentment, and diminishes trust in leadership. It’s critical for a healthy, high-performing team to have faith in the fairness of the system and the value of their honest work. Long-term Company Impact: While short-term gains from inflated numbers may look appealing on paper, the long-term ramifications can be dire. Not addressing fraudulent activity damages Fortinet’s ability to foster sustainable growth. It also impacts ROI and creates a distorted perception of success, which could mislead investors or potential clients.

Pros

Half decent pay but good medical benefits.

Cons

While the company may have been touted as a top workplace, the reality doesn't match the hype. The atmosphere is toxic which leaves employees feeling constantly on edge. There's a lack of adequate training, leaving individuals to navigate their roles independently. Additionally, when profits dip, management may resort to questionable tactics to terminate or lay off employees solely to boost their bottom line.

Pros

% Able to work from home until it last.

Cons

- I am not happy, tired and very stressed !!!! - Understaffed, you will keep getting consistent interruptions to take calls from queue. - Even managers start to take calls due to understaff(ironically they think it's a positive moral example!!) - Quality of Resolution is not main priority, main priority is to achieve queue wait time. - Tickets backlog is large and there is barely time to follow up, backlog keeps growing daily and rapidly - No enough time to replicate customer's issues or do thorough research due to consistent interruptions to take calls. - Training is a term you will forget about, no time to study , you learn as you go by making mistakes, there is no time to resolve tickets rather than having a training. - Resolution quality started to decline, there is barley a time to research customers issues due to consistent interruptions. - Favoritism is very clear, if they favor someone, you will know it!! - Fastfood restaurant recognition style (very childish and immature), they hand amazon gift cards if you do a good job grapping many calls or positive feedbacks - If you have a nice phony voice and you know how to talk to customers, then you're good. it's all about prospective! - We are afraid to express our true concerns. - If you end up getting negative customer feedback for any other reason rather than provided service, you will stick with it! managers cannot over-ride customer feedback unless the customer went back and change it!!!! - We see more Senior employees on L1 and L2 quitting!! --------------- In addition to the above: - Extremely poor documentation, lack of good docs is a massive issue. - Fortinet products are infested with bugs. - Your official title should be a BUG ENGINEER, you will be extremely busy fixing high memory and crash issues. - If there is a new FoS firmware release, prepare of a BUGs diarrhea. - QA is something Fortinet doesn't do well, Devs are fixing a bug chances they will break five other features. - Old Bugs are revived while Devs trying to fix new bugs. - Their strategy is Fake it until you make it.
