Pros

The People and Company Culture, Great Corporate Events, Work/Life Balance, Great Benefits. Five Guys started as a family business and each member of the family plays a significant role in running the company. They are very hands on, and its cool to see them around the office; their passion for the business is pretty contagious. And, they really put forth a great effort into getting to know their employees.

Cons

Currently not much room for growth (upward mobility), Communication throughout departments can be lacking, Location (The office is kind of off the beaten path). Pros definitely outweigh the cons though.

Pros

You get a free meal at break time, and the most of the managers are nice. You have the possibility of earning points from the secret shopper and getting a bonus, but this is only occasionally.

Cons

Tips are basically nonexistent, the job is extremely monotonous (you spend most of your time sweeping peanut shells people just drop onto the floor), and at not even $8.00 an hour, the pay isn't good enough to keep people around for long. There is an extremely fast turnover rate.

Demanding but enjoyable

Pros

Good pay for someone just starting out. Very professional work environment. Secret shopper bonuses, free food on lunch break. I found pride in making burgers that are better than most places in the country.

Cons

Very competitive hiring process. Little chance for mistake in training. Very strict order process for workers. Fry warmer too hot considering they don't sit there very long. My hands became uncomfortably hot very quickly into the training process.
