Pros

Well there is very little experience required, great first job and or rebound from losing another job. Shopper program (paid testers rate their experience, twice a week) allows new employees to make a decent wage fairly early on. Most GMs are lenient with time off. However with all the Cons being taken accounted for, promotions come very quickly (I was a Gm in three years) though frankly not for good reasons.

Cons

Well Five guys is not known as a team building corporation, essentially you do as you are asked all bonuses and kudos go to the GM and Management staff above that level. Meaning that good numbers good numbers ( profit margin, sales trends, growing customer base) only reward the most senior manager. This along with incredibly rare and frankly disappointing raises means high turnover rates and very few employees stay for extended periods.

Pros

Good food and believe me, you will have at least 5 to 6 days off every week !

Cons

When they hired me, they never told me it was going to be a part time job, and even worse, they never told me it was going to be one or two shifts a week. One time, they scheduled me for only one shift in a week, and when I went to work (the day I was supposed to work) they simply told me "You are not in the schedule this week, you need to go home" .... so, after I was scheduled for only one shift they decided to take me out of the schedule without notice. So I was trying to complain, but who can you complain to when the person who took you out of the schedule is the area director or regional manager?? ... Did I ever got an apology from any manager ?? .. NO ! ...not even a comment ! I just see a very unprofessional management team who just care about their "labor cost" and don't care about their own people. Five Guys just don't care about their employees !!!!
