Pros

Amazing opportunities such as top tier banks, government and top UK companies. The training adds a lot of value to your CV. Once you're on site the time spent training seems like a distant memory. Once your 2 years has finished you are in an extremely strong position for a new job or salary increase (nearly 2x in a lot of cases)

Cons

The training academy is extremely an extremely negative environment. No certainty of being placed, some are still in the academy weeks after they have finished training meaning you could be without pay for 4-6 months which is much more than the 2-3 you planned for.

Pros

- Free training on skills that employers want. If you manage to get placed during your training, your training is sometimes adjusted to fit your placement. - Most trainers are helpful and friendly - Helps you prepare for interviews - Depending on your training programme, you may get paid for it - Free Pluralsight membership

Cons

- Wage is quite low for the first 2 years. For java devs, 21k for the first year, slightly more in the 2nd. 3rd years+ varies on performance and client - Some elements of training are a waste of time - Requires you to be geographically flexible within UK - Travelling expenses during training are not paid for - Filling out time sheets during training can become tedious - Internal communication can be inconsistent
