Pros

Regular hours. Flat 8hr shift. Paid through breaks including lunch. Minimal overtime. Good place to get experience and regular hours. Good people to work with. When I was working 1st shift was from 7:00am-3:00pm which was nice to not start crazy early while still getting out of work at 3:00pm with plenty of the afternoon available for one's personal life.

Cons

The flat 8hr shift meant shorter breaks. Only 20 minutes for lunch and 2 10 minute breaks. It does get warm on the production floor.
