Pros

Good life/work balance, there are many interesting areas, international presence. Used to be an employer that cared about people. This is not the case in April 2016.

Cons

Politics, inter-sites fighting, real bad middle, and upper management in general. Fear of failure and arrogance in most areas. Current CEO is a CFO and only cares about costs. Overall working environment is getting worse (free seating, open space, tools). No growth, and almost no chance of growing again due to existing management and current strategies realization.

Big company, wide known. Many offices around world.

Cons

Too much big company mentality, layoff every other year. Many 50+ years employees playing politics to stay until retirement. Low salary generally for younger engineers.

Work environment is nice. Salary is compatible (many times more). Benefits are one of the best as its fully sponsored.

Cons

Silicon Valley location is currently unstable. Less fun events. While Ericsson is doing great with their core business, they really need to step up their game in this dynamic era.
