Pros

1) Very Good if you joined as Experienced professional and are already getting 7 lpa + 2) Less work and more enjoyment 3) Increments are not very Good but you may get Good Increment and also, etention bonus if you know How to lick managers socks 4) Heaven , if you are a Manager. Since this Company provides support to Regional Ericsson , Generally, Engineers work on Pre-defined procedures and you will have negligible Escalations ...

Cons

1) It is TELECOM :o 2) When you join, you may be allotted anything as it is not based on your Academics, Talent or Engineering Subjects. 3) Most of the work here is in Excel only. 4) Not very Good promotions 5) No Market value . The Projects that you work on has no market value. So, you just cannot switch to get higher package. 6) 0 Technical knowledge. 7) Generally, You work under a bunch of stupids. Most of your seniors would be from Vendors of Vendors, who have negative knowledge. That is they have experience of 4-5 years but doesnot even know what TMA is used for :o 8) You work offshore and have very less opportunities of getting onshore trips . 9) EGI works on cost cutting . OBTs, stationary, Diwali Bonus , Mobile Bills, and more things have been discontinued or reduced so that the Higher management can show Profits. What a shame ? This is what happens, If you hire non MBA managers. There is a long list. ---->Only join if you are getting 7-9 pla + packages. Since life is calm , if you dont need money.

Pros

The salary is paid, the business somehow goes (for how long?), and there is still a lot of great people around.

Cons

Ericsson used to be a great place to work, full of spirit and enthusiasm. However, in last few years, it became a bureaucratic hell, management is afraid of making decision, and is lying in the reports sent upwards... The company lacks a clear vision where it wants to be (ok there is one, but it is rather a dream without clear roadmap how to achieve it), realistic strategic planning is rather non-existing (or not communicated). On the other hand, there has been a series of layoffs out of the blue, others are on sight (but nobody will confirm that, of course), the remaining employees are overloaded, and disgusted with the increasing bureaucracy. One example: the region is pushing to outsource the technical work to India, and is investing big deal of money into it. However, the outputs are so pure that local people have to rework it again and again. The local people first spent lot of time and energy in explaining the customer situation to the Indian guys, and then reworking it, instead of allowing them to do it directly. What the senior management see in the reports? That the Indian guys are well utilized (so more of them can be hired) and local guys are more and more inefficient.
