Pros
Subsidised food in the canteen
Cons
I was employed by Safran for 6 months, when the entire IT department was called into a meeting to be told we had to re-apply for our jobs, which also included additional responsibilities. You would assume this would come with additional pay, however the pay was 10K less than the salary I was on! Worse still I wasn’t offered the role due to being told my skill set didn’t match the requirements, despite having done my previous role for the last 6 months. The job was originally advertised to me as an IT technician role, but the new role was more of a project manager role, which I wasn’t originally employed to do. I was asked insensitive questions in the interview such as “of all the mistakes you’ve made, what’s the worst you’ve ever done?” This was purposely done to show me in a bad light, so I could safely be removed from the business with a suitable justification. I was consistently told “this wasn’t the answer we were looking for” in an attempt to undermine me, and list my flaws.
