Pros
MetLife is a fortune 50 company with solid financial standing in the market. It is one of the few companies in the industry that came out strong from the 2008 recession. The company provides decent benefits and a healthy work-life balance.
Cons
Due the pros mentioned above and MetLife reliance on external talent for its leadership roles, I think the career growth for internal employees is very limited. Generally, the middle management employees are content with what they do and get, and that leaves very little growth opportunities for new talent and lower level employees to fine and take more challenging roles.
