Talented hardworking coworkers - people work harder at this company than anywhere else I’ve been in my career, including startups. Good name to have on your resume.
Cons
Many members of senior management, particularly in supply chain, have zero leadership ability. Extremely siloed departments mean that no part of the business works effectively. Company is extremely outdated and does not care to invest in updating - software, management philosophy, manufacturing practices are reminiscent of 1985 which can be extremely frustrating. Workload and expectations are absolutely unreasonable - expect to work 80 hours a week unendingly without getting everything done. TPM is aspirationally used without a basic understanding of the principles, so it just becomes a blame game exercise. Ad hoc reporting is created ad nauseam with the worst systems I’ve seen in my 20 year career. Feedback is a one way street and goes down the ladder only. Benefits were great at one time but are now pretty poor compared to competitors, with the exception of the pension plan if you can stick it out without working yourself to death. I truly worried about my direct reports having heart attacks and strokes from overwork so take that for what it’s worth.
