Pros

When I first applied to DELABIE I was very dubious - the recruitment agency were very persistent with me and I felt it wouldn't work out on account of me being required to move and having greater salary expectations than what was advertised. Over time however, they exceeded my expectations and ultimately offered me the higher salary I requested as well as helping me out with moving costs due to the short time I had to relocate. I had very little marketing experience before coming to DELABIE so it has been a learning process but there is incredible support both in the UK office and across the team internationally. I feel at ease discussing my anxieties and from the beginning they have made it clear that they want to hear my opinion so we can figure out what's best for me and the team moving forward.

Cons

I found the training period a bit tough as we had to work outside our advertised role for several weeks. I expressed anxiety and fear around this and had to do it anyway, however my managers simply asked me to try and did not overload me with targets which I appreciated. After a few weeks I voiced the same feelings and they graciously allowed me to forego the final weeks - turning a negative into a positive.

Pros

If you’re looking for a role that challenges you and rewards you in equal measure, this won’t disappoint. You’ll be part of a great team, supported by an excellent training program, and working in a role that’s genuinely interesting and varied.

Cons

The training program means plenty of nights in hotels, so it’s not ideal if you don’t like travel. The role is full-on and very visible – not one for ASMs who want to hide behind a laptop at home.
