      It's rather easy to carve yourself a niche and pursue your own prospects, as long as you pitch in with your (extra) time and effort

      Cons

      General fluctuating consultant business makes the personal/work relation conundrum a problem. Not more than at most other consultancies though.

      Many different projects to work on and get tons of experience Great professional communities (Architects, Managers, PMOs, etc.) Great employee networks and affinity groups Good insurance benefits and a matching 401k
