If you want to experience a toxic workplace then Elis is a great choice. Managers who spend the majority of their time in the office and when they are on the floor only cause further stress due to their inability to actually manage anything. There was a high turnover of staff, many workers that were there for years have left, and new staff members rarely lasted more than a few months. Of course everyone else is to blame except the company and management who refused to as knowledge no one wants to work there due to their poor reputation.
Even long term customers who used the company for 10+ years would not renew contracts.
The ‘anonymous’ staff surveys are a joke as someone is watching over your shoulder when filling them in.
I wouldn’t recommend Elis to anyone as a workplace, unless you are friends with or related to the management in which case you get away with everything. Honestly the best decision I made was leaving Elis, now I’m out of there I can see just how detrimental it was to my mental health. It’s a lot of physical work for minimum wage, which I didn’t mind, but the unfair demands from line managers, lack of consistent discipline procedures and having to do the workload of 2 people because of the high staff turnover without so much as an acknowledgment or offer of a helping hand from the line managers sitting in the office playing games on their phone
