      Change in leadership & lots of attrition

      Pros

      EMPLOYERS has a diverse set of team members throughout the entire organization.

      Cons

      The new CEO eliminated some key departments and positions without understanding the value & importance of those areas. These changes have had a critical impact to the company as a whole. There is significant attrition due to lack of confidence in the new leadership, having to work excessive hours and no pay raises in the past year. To add, the recent communications of changes to the broader organization have led to more and more questions as there is no real clear plan and the details to back it. When employees ask questions we are told more is to come.

      Pros

      The benefits are great (12 weeks paid maternity, grandparent leave, paternity leave, education benefits on top of fairly generous medical and 4011K), there’s room to learn and grow and accomplish great work. Amazing people.

      Cons

      After wiping out the majority of VPs in a RIF early 2021, the work we were building up to the that point kinda went out the window and new visions, goals, and strategies were vague at best. So, not really sure what we’re working toward (but there is huge opportunity in this if you’re looking to learn and grow).

      Pros

      Salary & benefits are decent. Glendale location is close to restaurants & bars ( convenient for lunch & happy hour ).

      Cons

      Management is horrible in claims department. Supervisors & manager were always pressing overworked, stressed-out staff to work harder & faster. They always threatened termination at company meetings & in private meetings. Blatant harassment, racism, & sexism are rampant at this place. Numerous complaints, from multiple employees, to HR were ignored. Miserable!
