Pros

-DT only hires people who fit into the "culture"-very competitive hiring practices. Employees are very intellegent and professional. -Employee functions are fun and frequent , this ensures employees build strong working relationships -Good mix of team work and autonomy -Clean and modern working environment-great amenities in our Corporate Office -Opportunities for growth and development are great-wonderful tuition reimbursement ($5500/year) -Great connectivity with business executives and management has an open door policy

Cons

-The compensation is below market rate-you will trade compensation for a good working environment -Feedback is often negative-there is always something to improve upon. Positive feedback is hard to come by, VERY high standards for employee performance. -The quickly changing environment is hard for some people to adjust to.

Pros

Outstanding company culture, great benefits. Advancement opportunities. Progressive company that fills a need in a niche market. Every financial institution is entilted to make a profit by risking their own capital. The higher the risk, the higher the profit. Drive time is no exception. Those employees who do not grasp this should probably consider other employment. I know for a fact that DriveTime reconditions its automobiles to high standards and stands behind these cars with an unheard of warranty in the used car market. We produce a great product and I'm proud to work for this company.

Cons

The environment is a tough one, but that is to be expected. It certainly could be worse. Hours are long, but hours are long in management regardless of industry. Hourly workers are always paid overtime. Salaried folks are not. This is nothing unusual. Every corporate company in the United States has salaried people working over 50-55 hour weeks. If you're a good manager, you're going to have to put in your time. If you're complaining about it online...you're very likely not.

Pros

Corporate culture is very open, friendly, and relaxed. Managers are always asking your opinion and including you in most decisions. Other departments are open to you learning more about their roles and horizontal promotion is there. Senior management is open and friendly. You can walk by their office and ask them anything. Great benefits.

Cons

Sometimes slow to make change. Timelines for projects get pushed many times and problems don't always get reported to mgmt.
