Pros

Affordable Benefits – The benefits package is reasonably priced, which is a plus for employees. Training – The initial training program is thorough and helps prepare you for the role.

Cons

Extreme Micromanagement – Every move is scrutinized, leaving little room for autonomy or trust. Ineffective Coaching & Nonexistent Feedback – Coaching opportunities feel more like criticism without constructive guidance. Feedback is rare and inconsistent, making growth difficult. Unpredictable One on Ones – Scheduled check-ins are sporadic, leaving employees in the dark about performance expectations. Moving Goalposts – Targets and expectations shift constantly, making it hard to succeed or feel accomplished. Unstable Management Behavior – GMs and AGMs are inconsistent in their leadership—mood swings and unpredictable reactions create a stressful environment. Entrenched, Stubborn Leadership – Some long-tenured managers act entitled and resistant to change, making collaboration frustrating

Pros

Decent salary and commission bonus structure

Cons

Expect to stay past a minimum of 1-2 hours every shift They make you do calls after hours to drive in traffic the next day, only to conveniently "forget" that it happened when upper management asks about it to make themselves look better Don't let them catch you skimming through the work flow just so that you can get out at a decent time.. they'll fire you a week before you get your bonus :)

Thank you for sharing your experience as a Customer Experience Guide. It is great to hear you enjoyed the compensation package during your time with DriveTime. Work-life balance is crucial, and we apologize if you felt that the expectation to stay past the minimum shift duration was excessive. We understand the importance of clear communication and will address the concerns you raised about after-hours calls. It's important that our team members feel valued and that their efforts are recognized appropriately. Thank you for sharing your experience, we wish you the best in your future endeavors.
