Pros

Decent amount of training to prepare for the role. The benefits are nice.

Cons

Not as many opportunities to grow. Managers constantly changing. Had a new manager nearly every month. Miscommunication between departments at times. Would get push back from other departments such as accounting when needing help. Didn't like that they did not offer more options to their customers for help during the pandemic.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience as a Customer Experience Representative. Your role is very important to our customers and business to best assist our customers with their auto and loan inquiries. In order to best service our customers, we want to make sure our employees are well prepared and equipped with the proper training and resources. Glad to hear you were set up for success! One of our many perks that we offer our employees is the opportunity for growth and development. We provide coaching, training, and regular feedback to guide our employees to the next phase on their journey with the DriveTime family. Sorry to hear that this was not your experience. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we understood the vast and significant impact the pandemic had on everyone, including our customers. We exhausted every effort and did our best to mitigate the effects as much as we could. For our customers, we stopped any repossessions nationally and expanded our payment extension rules to assist them during this crisis. We continued to work closely with our customers and to provide assistance along the way. Since we parted ways, we wish you the best in the next phase in your career.

Hello - we appreciate your feedback, although it is unfortunate to hear that you do not recommend DriveTime as a company or employer. We wish your experience and outlook was different. The DriveTime family of companies exists to create opportunities and improve the lives of our customers and employees. Some of the customers that purchase from DriveTime, may not have had the option to buy elsewhere. We work to find a way to get customers into a vehicle that will help improve their lives; having transportation to get to work, run errands with family, and to have the freedom of driving a vehicle. During the sales and contracting process, we provide each customer with the Federal Truth in Lending Disclosure which includes the APR, finance charge, amount financed, total amount expected to be paid throughout the loan, and the total sales price. Also, our customers are welcome to utilize third-party financing if they are not satisfied with the financing options offered through Bridgecrest, our finance partner. Unfortunately, we are unable to change your experience while working with us, but we hope this insight and detail helps shape and improve your outlook of our business.

Great Company to Work For With Few Downsides!

Pros

I love the supportive, team-oriented environment Excellent 401k, healthcare, and dental options Relaxed, quiet office environment with the option of hybrid/remote Tuition reimbursement Above-average PTO accruals (13 days over the year)

Cons

There are a few cons unfortunately (the company is always up for suggestions and improvements which do get heard luckily) with the few months I have been here, mostly with regards to pay/salary (most employees are salaried) which is edging towards being non-competitive for the hours worked. I rarely recalled having to work less than 40 hours a week, usually more around 45-55 otherwise I’d risk being behind on my work. I also have less time with my family consequently, the hybrid/remote schedule helps to alleviate this, but the issue is still noticeable. Otherwise, this company is great!

Our corporate office employees have the flexibility to work on a hybrid /remote schedule should their business unit allow for it. We understand the importance of your wellbeing and that your work life balance is important, and we encourage you to work with your leader to find an appropriate workload that is feasible for you, your department, that does not lead to burnout. We appreciate your honest feedback, and we will share it with the team to help make future decisions.
