Pros

- Some friendly colleagues; - Work-life balance is good once you get the hang of how things work in the company; - Allowed to work up to 1 month from abroad if your client agrees; - A permanent contract from the start (1-month probational period), which, as an immigrant, is the best pro; - Company lease car or transportation allowance + transport costs reimbursement; - Hybrid work, and you're able to negotiate the days at the office with your client (if you are on an assignment)

Cons

- In general, no plan or strategy other than a slogan that will follow the current trend (AI at the moment); - The sole goal is to increase the amount of money they can make out of a consultant; - You might not get a salary raise even if you perform well and are allocated to projects during the whole year; - Take everything you see or hear from them with a grain of salt. They're good at marketing themselves, also (especially?) in internal communications; - Not a lot of talented, visionary people. You don't have many people with whom you can discuss things. Most of them are only good at taking certifications and marketing themselves, not good technicians, problem-solvers, or curious people interested in upskilling themselves; - There's no leadership at all. Devoteam's managers are just a bunch of old-fashioned managers who see people as resources and milk cows; - There's no room to grow your career. But if you're an incompetent, less-than-average professional who is okay playing their game, congrats, you'll be promoted; - Don't value knowledge and ability to deliver solutions but rather if you can lie to the clients so they can bill more people (who often don't know the basics of what is needed but are still sold as "seniors"); - Don't recognize and value people who put in the effort and are, at the end of the day, responsible for making it all happen; - The amount of internal politics and back-scratching is just unbelievable; If you're an experienced professional with a go-getter attitude and know how to do the job, Devoteam will do their best to exploit you. Remember, they don't value people who do the work, only people who overstate what they do and can, therefore, paint a fictional picture of what is going on and their achievements; - They see people as "tech monkeys" and never as decision-makers, which ends up in a lot of micromanagement, undermines trust, and creates unproductive relationships; It is/was the worst, purposeless, and, to some extent, the most toxic work environment I have ever experienced. If you plan on joining them, ask in writing what they agreed with you if you discuss and make agreements while working there. They are good at making promises, but as time passes, they start asking you to do things that weren't agreed upon and gaslighting you. Be aware it's not exactly a place that fosters psychological safety, and trust, or where your work and knowledge will be appreciated.

Pros

Innovative AI Focus: Devoteam leverages cutting-edge artificial intelligence to drive digital transformation, helping businesses stay ahead in a rapidly evolving tech landscape. Global Reach with Local Agility: With over 11,000 employees across 25+ countries, Devoteam combines large-scale project management with tailored, agile solutions for diverse markets. Strong Industry Partnerships: Collaborations with leading platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, and ServiceNow enhance Devoteam’s ability to deliver top-tier, award-winning services. Commitment to Sustainability: The company emphasizes responsible tech, integrating sustainable practices into its solutions to create long-term value for clients and society. Empowering People: Devoteam’s "Tech for People" vision prioritizes human empowerment, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and growth for both employees and clients.

Cons

High Implementation Costs: Devoteam’s focus on advanced AI solutions and partnerships with premium platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft may lead to significant upfront costs for clients, which could be a barrier for smaller businesses or those with limited budgets. Complexity of Services: With a broad portfolio spanning AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and sustainability across 25+ countries, the complexity of Devoteam’s offerings might overwhelm clients who lack the technical expertise to fully leverage or integrate these solutions. Dependence on Partnerships: While strong alliances with industry leaders like Google Cloud and ServiceNow are a strength, over-reliance on these partners could limit flexibility or expose clients to risks if those platforms face disruptions or shift priorities. Scalability Challenges for Smaller Clients: Devoteam’s capacity to manage large-scale, ambitious projects may not translate as effectively to smaller organizations, potentially leaving them with solutions that are over-engineered or misaligned with their simpler needs. Rapid Pace of Innovation: The company’s emphasis on staying at the forefront of AI and emerging technologies might pressure clients to adopt new systems quickly, risking disruption or insufficient time for staff training and adaptation.
