Pros

High worker rights for non-management and very secure contracts. (internal saying in company "not doing your job is not enough to get fired") Upper management is clever in controlling financial aspects of company to cover poor internal and inefficient operations.

Cons

Lots of high-level "visions, missions, and strategies" with very few cohesive/tangible action plans. Most people work for themselves and personal targets (even at the lowest levels). If personal targets conflict with new activity then it's like moving the Titanic to get people to contribute. Practically all the management of VP and above are the highest level of self-promoters and very rarely work with each other (lots of "Kingdoms") even when told to do so. Most management of VP and above do everything they can to remain relevant in highly redundant organisations. Internal politics is everything in this company, and everyone chooses a side. Most management decisions are made with these political considerations and not for whats best for the company. DTAG still has a long road ahead to mimic other global telecom leaders. Very, very tricky and misleading bonus arrangement. Bonuses are in the form of a salary variable which is actually a percentage of normal pay. Meaning a PM will make approx 80k but in actuality will only take home 80% of the 80k. The other 20% must be earned in personal targets. Possibility exists to reach 120% of the the remaining 20% but is very rare. Therefore bonuses actually do not exist.
