It was a 30 minutes interview, started off with self intro and they have given me the information about the work done there and the equipment used. Asked me regarding experience with lab equipment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Deutsche Telekom (Košice)
Interview
Interviewed with Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia, part of the wider Deutsche Telekom group.
The interview itself was professional, but the post interview feedback was disappointing.
The feedback raised ServiceNow and large organisation experience as reasons for not progressing. This was confusing because ServiceNow was not mentioned anywhere in the job description, I had already stated during the interview that I had used ServiceNow before, and I had also worked at Motorola Solutions, a large multinational technology company.
What frustrated me most was not the rejection itself, but that the feedback was directly contradictory to my stated experience. Because of this, it felt inaccurate and not fully aligned with either the job description or the information I had already communicated during the interview.
It left me unsure whether the real reason was technical fit, culture fit, or another factor.
This kind of vague or inaccurate feedback is frustrating for candidates. If companies provide feedback, it should be specific and accurate enough to help applicants understand where they genuinely need to improve.
From a neurodivergent candidate’s perspective, clear and accurate communication is especially important. I did not disclose this during the interview, so this is not about accommodations; it is about the feedback process itself, which did not feel clear or accurate.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my strongest areas, customer focus, quality, ITIL/process awareness, relocation to Slovakia, and my infrastructure experience.
Communication during the interview process could have been better. I did not receive regular updates, and there was limited follow-up from their side, which made the overall experience feel somewhat unclear and unstructured.
