Pros

Flexibility, benefits, good work environment. Besides that I don't have anything else to say. Please refer to the Cons section for the actual and most important part of the review.

Cons

I'm not a current employee anymore. I've got terminated without any prior warning to me or my counselor. They didn't provide any valid reason for the termination, they just said "because of your performance and this is our final decision". I told them that I would like to meet with all of them including my managers and counselor so they could provide a real and personal feedback about me. They responded "that won't be necessary, we already took a final decision ". I asked for detailed information of the "bad performance" they were referring and they told me "we don't have that information right now". They didn't care about my actual performance or about what my managers and counselor had to say about me. They just want me out without any valid reason. I did my work, I always completed my tasks on time and got involved in firm initiatives. I sent an email to the "Employee Lifecycle Events Specialist" asking for the details of my termination and they never responded. My counselor and my managers were shocked when I told them what happened, no one could believe it. Employees for the top management are just a number. They don't care if you are a hard worker, if they want you out they will terminate you without any hesitation. This was my seventh month in the company, they always say in all the meetings that the first year no one have to worry about getting in projects because we are getting known within the firm and that is normal that the utilization percent of everyone will be low. Even that I was always doing something while I was on the "bench", I was always busy with firm initiatives and providing productivity to the firm with my professional experience. I just wanted to share with everyone my situation so maybe someone from the firm care about it (I don't think so) and the current or future employees can be aware of.

Pros

Nice friendly atmosphere Because of the small size of most of the clients, you get exposure to many funds and banks. social events and environment. reduced working hours in the summer.

Cons

Pay is very low. pay increases are very low as well. they try to delay promoting people to a managerial position by creating many artificial positions pre-management positions with no difference in their actual job responsibilities. the only thing that matters for wage increase is the hours put on - the longer you work, the higher the salary. there is no appreciation of "work smart, not hard" no bonuses as well. I guess all this is normal for all big 4 companies. also because the most of the clients are small, they are not complex - but this is the trade off - you get to exposure to many clients, but not very sophisticated.

Pros

You get to work for clients from different industries which is helpful once you decide to leave the company. Most of workers are from different parts of world (although mostly from politically unstable and poor countries) which is nice if you are able to appreciate learning about different cultures and views.

Cons

This was by far the worst employer I ever had. The culture of bullying has a top-down design and you will be bullied until you learn how to bully downwards. Performance reviews are basically a blame game where the most important thing to learn, if you are to survive them, is how to blame someone else when project goes wrong. And projects go wrong all the time due to incompetent management and chase for market-share. Integrity is priority zero - top level management, from directors to partners, certified public accountants, certified internal/external auditors, certified forensic auditors will go as low as to lie under oath. Total deterioration of moral values. It will make you disgusted by the whole profession.
