      Pros

      Large practice offers many cross-functional opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing, as well as bringing the best team to the client. Great brand name on resume, overall good compensation, work/life balance and benefits.

      Cons

      Very large practice also means dealing with some bureacracy, also there is now a push to collaborate with the D&T side, which in some cases may dilute the Deloitte Consulting brand especially in strategy consulting.

      Learning opportunity and career growth oppotunity. It includes the chance to work in many industries at the beginning of your career and then focus on only one sector (specialization)

      Need more money. And hours are too much. The deadlines can be very stressful. Sometimes you are responsible for the whole project

      Pros

      Yearly promotion, trainings, great software, good people (most of them), you are place into a leadership position very early in your career. Support for your career development.

      Cons

      The office you start in can make or break you because unrealistic expectations are set to complete audit staffs. So If you start in NY there's an understanding that the standards or set very high and you are given the opportunities to build on your expertise and the option to move around until you finde your niche. On the other other, if you start in Miami, you're expeceted to meet those unrealistic expectations and everyone ends up giving each other bad performance report. As such, the Miami office tends to have a lot more stressed out, over work auditors. Also the office is small compare to NY and thou D&T is a fair opportunity employee, the Miami office lacks that perspective. Overall this is an awesome place to work and it can take you anywhere. If you're thinking about starting your own business in a few years, it's best for you to get in the Tax practice. If your focus is to be a CEO, CFO do audit.
