      Great place to launch your career and lose your personal life

      Pros

      Rapid advancement, defined career path, high level exposure, reputation, and world class colleagues. The learning curve is very steep and once you make manager you'll never make less than $100K in public or private. Great connections.

      Cons

      Busy season extends year round, if you are nto in the right clique your career can get miserable, pay does not nearly reflect the number of hours you work.

      Pros

      Good name on the resume, nothing more. Overall, I found that there were smart people and I did learn - although not from the crappy training.

      Cons

      So political - people are extremely two-faced. Everyone is well aware that they are in a political world and you can't trust what most people say.

      Big-4 firm. Looks great on Resume Internationally renowned Diversity of work available Approved learning provider for CA and ACCA students

      Cons

      Need someone on the inside working at the firm to get you hired for most junior level positions Favoritism. Tenure rather than performance as the main criteria for promotion Very Poor pay compared to the other major players (KPMG,PWC,EY etc)
