      Poor experience in digital

      Great brand on the cv, apparently good projects somewhere, fantastic people

      Cons

      Unfortunately I've had a terrible experience joining as an experienced hire consultant. There's very little regard about finding a role that aligns to your desires, especially if you work in a niche area like digital public sector. So when it comes to finding a new role and going up for promotion you are advised that you don't have any deloitte experience in that area and therefore you're pigeon holed because you landed on a role that you have to accept as a new joiner (to get off the bench). And you're then promoted as a delivery lead despite having absolutely no interest at all. Everyone is happy to meet up and tell you about the amazing things they do, but no one is willing to let you know about available roles in that area.

      Great Brand, Terrible Experience & Environment, Horrendous Management

      Pros

      Deloitte is #1, it the resume builder of resume builders at is such a recognizable name. The company does many creative and innovative things around the world, so it can feel like you're apart of something truly groundbreaking.

      Cons

      The Canadian firm is a mess. They have very little respect for people, they are continually going against their own values, and managers and senior managers are seldom exciting, innovative or great leaders. There are very little career development opportunities and a whole lot of smokescreen and mirrors. They tell you, "you can develop, travel, get put on amazing projects", and they neglect to tell you that this is rare and great opportunities only come around 1-2 years. Oh, and if you're not available, then your waiting period essentially starts again. Even at the very top, there are very few leaders and a whole bunch of expert managers who care little about people and a whole lot about excellence and execution.

      Good benefits e.g. laptop, mobile phone, company car scheme, flexible hours, work from home.

      Cons

      Too much pressure, piles of work loaded on to you. Little/poor training. Lack of communication. Unhappy/depressing working environment.
