- Work-life balance - Good basic salary

Cons

- Gloomy office environment - Lots of politics among upper management - Not much room for career advancement - The company culture is quite rigid and negative - High turnover rate - Outdated technology - People in power don't seem to care until something goes wrong

What I liked: Good salary Learned a decent amount from my immediate supervisor (Mostly) good team Good work/life balance

Cons

What I disliked: Didn't stay long enough for this to happen to me, but saw talented individuals denied career advancement so they moved on A lot of politics, backstabbing, etc - not in my immediate group but saw a lot of negative things going on there In my group, one toxic member was allowed to destroy the harmony of the team over and over again I think this is changing, but very old-fashioned outlook and approach to business

Some of the people are great to work with.

Cons

Sales is a mess with people leaving weekly. The more I tried to voice my concerns, the worse I made it for myself with management pushing out anyone that is not a "yes man". Good luck trying to work with marketing to put on any type of event or attend one that they host without being treated like a child in need of scolding. The "boys club" is alive and well at Merrill. If you're not one of them, you're against them...
