Easiest job to get in the market coz Carphone warehouse does not hire talent they hire slaves who can dance to their tunes.

Cons

There aren’t just few downsides this company is full of downsides. When you join the company there’ll be lots bragging about culture values employee benefits”don’t fall for this trap” the only company I’ve seen that underpays their employees and in return expects a lot from them!! You as an employee can’t expect the same!! If you love dying your hair than join Carphone warehouse coz your hair is gonna turn grey permanently! That’s the level of stress you have at cpw.

Employee discount scheme. That's pretty much it.

Cons

Weak, politically distracted management, unsustainable model (and evidently unaware of it), complete lack of decision making ability, lack of focus on getting the basics right, stale and lifeless culture.

- Great Social Aspect - Decent Pay (Similar to most sales jobs) - Busy Environment - Meet Brilliant People - Quick to move up ladder

Cons

- Unrealistic Targets - Constant Workload (emails, whatsapp, texts, phone calls on days off and after shift) - Expected to work more hours for no extra pay - Many detractors to not hit bonus or commission, unrealistic customer service scores targets. Can lose 70% of bonus very easily. - High expectation but very little reward or praise - You are just a number to them - Do not see people as individuals - Very political, you will only get far if people like you or if you're in one the higher up cliques
