Pros

the people i work with are nice enough. Bonus isn't bad as long as you are willing to put in the work. I work in the distribution side of currys in one of their warehouses so I don't have to deal with targets or selling pointless whatever happens plans or dealing with joe public.

Cons

Low basic pay. they will rip you off by giving you a 20 hour contract then have you working 40 hours and give you half your holiday pay because it is based on a 20 hour contract (which is illegal btw) terrible work/life balance (I cannot stress how little this company cares about your free time or family life) at time of writing tomorrow will be my only day off in a period of 10 days. and we have delivery drivers regularly doing 12-14 hr days for no more pay as they are franchise drivers on a daily job and finish rate so if they finish in 10 hours £90 if it takes them 15 £90.. needless to say it is the franchise drivers who get the busy runs where there is no chance of finishing at a decent time. the warehouse i work in is far too small (no doubt to keep cost down) and proper common sense health and safety is next to non existent the system of storage is archaic to say the least the underlying IT system is beyond ancient.

Pros

Easy enough job if you good at sales. A lot of new technologies - which is interesting to work with. You will make a lot of good friends. People work as a team and many colleagues will help you.

Cons

No support for you from managers - they just expect you to learn to swim quick if not will help you drown quicker. If you suddenly get treated unfairly at your work - best solution is to get out. Company will not provide you with any support, they would let things get worse rather than get involved and help colleagues. Realistic support exists only for managers. In sales often be prepared to sell hard. Company says this is not what they expect of you, while you manager will tell you otherwise.
