- KPIs, KPI's and more KPIs. It never ends, they just seem to keep adding new targets for you and also they change the priorities every week.
- Really poor pay for the job that you do, i mean as a sales advisor the general public expects u to know EVERYTHING about every PRODUCT in the whole store and they are downright rude when you dont know the answer to a specific question. You could be serving someone and do everything u can to give a good service and answer all their questions and then suddenly god forbid they ask one question you dont happen to know and they are shocked you dont know it...like we dont have 1000s of products to know inside out.
And like i mentioned as a sales advisor you are expected to reach at least 11 KPI targets every month or else u get disciplinary. Granted i dont have this issue as i seem to be pretty good at the job and have enough experience but many of my colleagues who are barely given any product training and just push to the deep end quit after just a month or two because of the pressure of targets.
For all these targets and product knowledge you need to have in order to perform the job you're paid a meager £6.50 per hour while if u just worked in a till in Tescos you get like over £7 per hr...where is the logic in that.
- Really fast employee turnover. The average length of time a member of staff stays in my store is about 6 months to a year...
