Bad decisions are made with no explanation, and very low morale

Pros

The product is very interesting, but lacks ease of use. Basically, if you take the time to learn the product, you will get super far. Great flexibility when it comes to PTO, good benefits.

Cons

Salary (non)Transparency: The company doesn't seem to appreciate talented and well-performing people when it comes to salary. Geographical location should also be a factor to be considered with pay, but that doesn't seem to be the case, specifically in the US. This leads to people being unmotivated and wanting to leave. The company needs to find a way to retain good people, and this a good way to do so. Bumpy after acquisition: Started with the massive layoffs once acquisition happened. Then, so many of us were left in an unclear role or path for about 2 months. People are unhappy: After the acquisition happened, things have gone downhill. People are not happy with their job, most of us overworked. Feels like every week we lose several people. So many talented (and tenured) people are leaving the company, and leadership seems to be doing nothing to amend this.

Thank you for your review. Indeed, we did make the tough decision to reduce our workforce back in January, however, the RIF was a strategic move aimed at ensuring the company’s sustainability and long-term financial health. Regarding salaries, while one of the acquired companies had transparency, Contentsquare did not. As we work on establishing visible company salary bands, we are committed to providing all employees with current salary information to ensure openness and fairness throughout the organization. We believe in transparency and are committed to taking all feedback seriously. If you have any suggestions or concerns that you'd like to discuss directly, please feel free to reach out to your People Business Partner or submit anonymously through our relevant feedback channels.

Pros

An inclusive environment with flexibility in the working hours.

Cons

Salaries according to local medians(nothing exceptional), so many cooks in the same kitchen in terms of planning. So much frustration after the recent acquisitions.

Thank you for leaving a review. A lot of efforts are put into making the work environment positive and we're glad you're benefiting from it. It is true that for some, frustration was born from the acquisitions. As you know, during our company-wide kickoff event at the start of the fiscal year, this year’s plan was shared with a clear idea of the company’s future trajectory. The acquisitions have created a solid ground for Contentsquare's growth.

Pros

Although it takes way to much work and skill to find value, the eventual results are unique and analytics is a future-proof industry. Due to being a mostly remote company, there isn't a lot of drama and office politics.

Cons

Company grew too fast during pandemic, so the (natural) slowing of growth has freaked out Management. That means massive layoffs, changing direction too fast/much, and quickly adding too much to product that focuses on upsell more than usability. The product is simply too confusing for the people it's sold to - which makes Customer Success unbelievably busy and lost to what's important.

Thank you for this thorough feedback. Indeed, the company underwent a period of expansion in order to keep up with the demands of the product market growth and our surpassing sales projections. Although we made the tough decision to reduce our workforce, the company remains on a track of steady growth and progress. Your comment is essential for us to know how some members of the team feel, and it will be escalated to leadership so that it can be addressed.
