      Sad time for Chubb

      Pros

      Used to be a great company prior, flexible, good comp time, Profit Sharing, Bonuses, great to advance from within the company

      Cons

      Lower salaries, Since the Acquisition morale is very low. Very shocking for a company with the reputation of Chubb to sell out at the end of the CEOs tenure.

      Pros

      Chubb lives up to its reputation of being the best insurer and providing the best coverage, with a culture that strives to achieve that mission. Great PTO offerings, good bonus structure for high performers, great people with good camaraderie. A lot of long-time employees.

      Cons

      Continual reduction in field claim staff over my 13 years with Chubb resulted in unreasonable increases in demand of travel by property claim adjusters. Requirement to be "on call" for catastrophes 3 months each year with the expectation that you are available 1-2 weeks before and after each month in essence makes you "on call" 5+ months per year. Many/most advancement opportunities require relocation, which the company will not fund.

      Pros

      The company itself has a great reputation with it's customers. Good benefits.

      Cons

      Management no longer seems to care about it's staff. At one time you can tell the company really valued it's employees and it treated them as such. now it seems it doesn't really care about the emloyees at all. Lots of positions outsourced because it's cheaper (although the quality is much worse). Staff is not appreciated at all. This is why although I'm a current employee I am looking for other opportunities.
