Pros

Pay and benefits are average

Cons

Chubb was the worst place I worked in my career! Do not work here unless you wanted to be treated horribly and never listened to. They do not care about employees at all, there is NO work life balance bc they don't hire enough resources to support the programs they are trying to role out and when they do hire people it seems like they are just looking to get a body in, it doesn't matter if they don't have the skill set they need to perform the job you are hired for. When you ask for training you are told to use LinkedIn Learning and figure it out. You reach out to HR and they do nothing , they just allow bad management. This place will suck the life out of you and will not care that they are doing it.

Pros

Great response to Covid crisis to keep everyone safe. A very reasonable 3 days in 2 days out to stay competitive with flexible schedules that many companies have permanently adopted as a result of the pandemic.

Cons

Raises/bonus - poor. Managers forced to follow strict low budget and must split that number within their areas. Loosing employees at a high rate as they are directly approached by companies offering better salaries, benefits and remote work schedules. Hard to absorb the cut back in raises and bonuses and then see on the headlines that Chubb makes unsolicited offer to acquire Hartford.

Pros

Great benefits. Large footprint in the property/casualty insurance space gives you exposure to numerous types of markets. Great experience.

Cons

Extremely high workload, and pay is much lower then other carriers in the property casualty industry. Senior management only seems to care about the bottom line of profit no matter the cost to their employees physical or emotional well-being. Working as the equivalent of 1 1/2 FTE is not a one off exception it is expected there. This company is Chubb in name only now. It is managed as ACE through and through.
