Pros

Healthy, macro counted lunch provided Snacks and drinks provided Uses Slack for communication Lots of active communities to join and be part of Always a lot of events going on Tech is new and updated Very fast paced

Cons

The work is unrelenting Pay is below market (they claim that this is so because the food provided in office makes up for this (which is debatable)) A lot of the current senior management are employees who have been at Checkout for years and not necessarily because they earned their role

Pros

Good compensation and free lunches

Cons

Everyone can see the value in being together, but the office policy is making it almost impossible to attract top talent, forcing departments to instead lower the bar to build the numbers. When we don't lower the bar, we waste our resources attempting to hire and becoming stuck in the vicious cycle. This simple fundamental flaw is so universally accepted, it's genuinely quite obnoxious that senior management continue to ignore it.
