Pros

- I learnt how to gift wrap the smallest items perfectly. - learnt more on how to apply make up -ONLY WEEKEND pay was good. 11.5/hr - great exposure to luxury cosmetic goods

Cons

- weekdays pay was only 8.50/hr - chanel full timers were really two faced. Just saying bad things behind each other back all the time. - the staff talk to u as if ure a slave. They criticise everything. Though i understand the customers expect some kind of service at chanel. But their negativity kinda just make me lose motivation do things properly - the full timers are really. REALLY commission driven. And its terrible. They’ll need gift wrappers to work fast or they cant serve other customers as quickly. They blame u. - a bunch of hypocrites. They will talk to u really nice at first. Thats cause they need u. However once the shop gets a little busy. They will get frustrated by gift wrappers. Saying that we do things too slowly. (We were only given 3 hrs of training before working yet they expect us to be fast. What nonsense) - when the customer said something nasty about me. The permanent staff didnt bother speaking up on my behalf but instead offer more testers. - they have a really nasty and malicious attitude. Just because they work in a luxury brand. When the truth is. They are merely workers. They act like they own the company.

Pros

Chanel is an amazing company, however upper management is either unaware or unable to deal with the problems in the Orlando Boutique. Great benefits, beautiful product & a vaunted history make Chanel the pinnacle of retail.

Cons

Terrible management in Orlando Boutique. 12 people left in the last year, out of a 14 person staff. Inconsistent application of policy, gross favoritism, and unprofessional behavior from the management staff make it a very difficult, unpleasant workplace. The problems will persist if something doesn't change.

Pros

Many of the employees are intelligent and collaborative

Cons

Managers do not foster growth or encourage growth outside of job duties. They need to give their employees more opportunity and put more trust in them.
