Pros

Corporate discount, most employees sell what they purchase on the side to supplement their income.

Cons

bad management, seems like management is trying to outsource allot of the jobs here.

Pros

The discount at the company store (located onsite) is decent. The compensation package is competitive compared to other similar organizations.

Cons

The Finance department is a disaster. There is zero communication from management. The lack of organization by management makes it very difficult to succeed. The few that have succeeded have done so at the expense of others. Employee morale is extremely low. Turnover is alarmingly high in the Finance group. Management rules with fear instead of leading by example. HR seems to be aware of these issues but fails to take any action. I would not wish employment at Chanel on my worst enemy!

NYC - Somewhat Worth It

Pros

Great benefits, small bonus for back of house positions, slightly larger bonus for front of house, 3 weeks vacation plus 10 sick days to start your employment. Decent pay but could be so so so much better.

Cons

Only employees in management positions get further promotions. Not enough front and back of house support throughout pandemic. Too many stretch assignments, doesn’t match pay/job title. They make you do more to prove you’re worth a promotion even though you’re already doing so much. More diversity in management positions. Management and Corporate are treated like royalty and some fashion advisors/ most stock associates get treated like 3rd class citizens. Unfair rule change of removing grade period. Too much external hiring instead of properly developing staff to fulfill leadership roles. Pay better, prices have gone up tremendously yet these influencers, editors, randoms, and ambassadors get free things and waste everyone’s budget. Those resources could go to paying your staff better, not the occasional unhealthy snacks/treats. Healthy snacks were cut at the start of pandemic. Retention has been abysmal for some positions. People stay because of the benefits and discount. Favoritism was a major problem not sure anymore.
