Some of the best reasons to work @ Caterpillar - Over 100 years as the industry leader in construction/mining equipment; constant striving to improve safety in the workplace; tons of after hours activities for workers and their families; good pay and compensation.

Cons

Some of the negatives - Union issues in the shop; manufacturing jobs leaving the U.S.(so a 40-50 year career could be iffy)
