Pros

Overall compensation is ok. Large company with good engineering jobs that cover a wide variety of specilizations.

Cons

Tough economic time for the company. No room to move up unless you're willing to relocate. Smaller business units demand a lot more from the engineers than the larger corporate office does.

Pros

Challenging assignments. Good work life balance Job Flexibility Multiple career paths depending on individual profile, performance and interests. Dual career moves for employee and spouse if moved outside of current work city. Dunlap school district is very good for kid's education

Cons

Industry market leader, but not a technology leader. Abuse of Six Sigma Job performance appraisal not consistent across various divisions Lot of middle management. Lot of focus on career development and training for management type postion, but not for technical roles More people "managing" than "doing"
