High levels of teamwork and co-operation. Managers truly care about associate development and growth. Plenty of opportunities to meet people throughout the company and hear more about initiatives. Loads of transparency through the entire process.

I have honestly nothing bad to say about Carmax.

Opportunities to grow, coworkers are nice most of the time, get to drive mustangs and corvettes around. Free food once a month.

Cons

Benefits suck, management can careless about you and only about numbers. They don't care if the car is dirty they will still make you put it on the front lot. Later, come back and say this car is dirty and write you up for it. They want robots not people. They do not like vocal people that have an opinion. Favorites are definitely here. All managers are coked out but yet still there somehow. It used to be a good place to work. Now people only stay because the money is above minimum wage.
