Company has taken away everything from floor store sales consultant that made the job meaningful and more than being an "order taker."
I use to work with a customer from start to finish in selecting a vehicle, sometimes working with them for multiple days or weeks. I was the face of the company and I knew my customer and they knew me. I was paid accordingly.
Now, once I meet a customer they have already spoken to multiple other consultants at a remote call center (while thinking they were speaking to people in the local store). Usually much of my time is spent going back and correcting misinformation that the call center has given them. It is not necessarily the Call Center consultants fault, they are working with a constant stream of people in many different states with different regulations. They cant know it all.
***Now I spend roughly the same amount of time with a customer and get paid half of what I was before.***
