      Interesting clients and calm place to work

      Pros

      A person will very likely work in aerospace industry with corporation clients, that is nice experience to be able to share. The environment is calm, people are friendly, with minimal level of 'politics'.

      Cons

      Keep in mind that Altran is sharded into hundreds of small companies, your experience may vary depending on what office you work in. As a result, you will unlikely feel like working in a huge company they claim to be. The company invests very little into its employees.

      Having worked for 10 yrs mgt focussing on business continuity with no focus on how employees will grow professionally.

      Pros

      If you're lucky to be in growing BU like Cisco you may find yourself growing technically as well. In all other places you will do just what crap mgt has as projects. Some very good folks from Hughes are still there accompanied by lots of rusted folks from that era too.

      Cons

      E5/6 technical lot don't believe in managing people which is hurting the bottom like ne as more senior folks reqd to run the show hence low profits. Salaries need big time overhaul but first there is need of shunting out rusted lot who management just carries along as there assistants.

      Pros

      I did not find even a single good reason for anyone to work here.

      Cons

      - Too much of power is given at the hands of PM and Director. - An all round feedback MUST impact PM's & Director's performance rating, so they learn to be courteous towards their subordinates. - HR should be given more power so as to restrict the unleashed Managers & Directors, who think of themselves as an owner of Aricent and treat rest of the team as their slaves.
