Pros

Good knowledgeable colleagues to work with from whom one can learn a lot. Exposure to financial markets and other areas of management consulting practice. Helps younger grads build up experience

Cons

Capco (at least the Toronto) office has not done a good sales job and as a consequence they downsize quickly to remain competitive in meeting their numbers for the parent company (FIS). This has caused friction amongst the practice leads who need a healthy bench to sustain good projects but it seems Capco is being ignored by the Canadian banks, Steer clear until the Toronto office fixes this issue and they gain the proejectst they need to remain viable. TD, the largest Capco Toronto client has not given much business back to Capco Toronto and this is what has impacted this company. I know many good people who have been downsized recently or left as dead-end banking jobs were not what we signed up for. Suggest go elsewhere where you get more exposure and more training to help in career progression.

Pros

- The people are generally sociable and fun to be around. - Modern Offices.

Cons

Most of the negative reviews here are too emotional but they raise many accurate and fair points. I think Capco would go a long way to reducing this ill-will and negative sentiment among employees (current and former) if it simply prescribed to telling the truth throughout the hiring process. The main issue I see is that management actively plays the company up as a worthy competitor to the big and reputable consulting firms out there but really 90% of what it has to offer is pure staff augmentation/body shopping/changesourcing - whatever you want to call it. That's not to say these projects don't exist at other firms; it's just that they have the appropriate scale required for their employees that signed up as CONSULTANTS to be staffed on CONSULTING projects, and their MANAGED SERVICES folks to work on the steady cash-flow, temp resourcing engagements.
