Pros

- some real people working for the company - good hq in shoreditch - personal development / training is great

Cons

- promotion is all about who you know - very political - completely lied and oversold the role - there was no real work in the Capco for 6 months. people were on the bench for at least 2 months trying to find work - little to know interesting projects - no one gets rewarded for their work - senior management has little understanding of the culture

Thank you for your positive feedback on our learning & development, working environment and the people who work at Capco - we see all of these as factors that differentiate us from other organisations. The business has enjoyed substantial growth in the past couple of years, so your comment about there being no work for 6 months is somewhat surprising. The bench is a feature of all consulting businesses, with most ‘bench time’ being a couple of weeks between projects. We have a proven resourcing model, which matches consultants’ skills with client requirements. This enables us to minimize the number of people on the bench and the time they spend there. We also have robust processes for calibrating performance between peers and reviewing promotion candidates, in order to ensure that decisions are based on merit not politics.

No strategy, another staff augmentation firm

Pros

Good project opportunities in one of HK's biggest banks.

Cons

Capco hasn't had any real leadership recently. Previous management lacked business integrity and only focused on themselves (would throw people under the bus). Turnover has been very high with many good consultants leaving. Morale at the company is low and will take time to improve. Capco's presence in HK is only really limited to one client.

Thank you for your feedback. As you will be aware, we have a new leader in our Hong Kong business who has extensive experience of both Capco and the financial services industry. He recently shared his strategy and vision with employees, which includes expanding into new areas and clients, while maintaining a focus on and continuing to deliver to our key clients. He also set out a clear agenda around our people, including more diverse career and learning and development opportunities, along with a commitment to greater communication and transparency around the region’s vision and goals among other things. I would encourage you to take the time to read through this update, and if you have any questions or suggestions to reach out to a member of the leadership team or Mar Alvarez, APAC HR Lead. You will find that the team is very open to hearing your ideas and feedback.

Pros

Decent salary for the kind of work they do

Cons

99 precent implementation work. At least in HK, mostly body shopping for large banks
