Pros

Easy access to any and all partners who are willing to meet anytime. Lots of exciting projects and opportunities to get involved. Encouraged to pursue your ideas related to the work you do. Culture feels like family. Good benefits, very comparable to employees at banks. Great vacation time, currently piloting unlimited vacation.

Cons

Transparency in what projects are in the pipeline is not the greatest highly dependent on your internal network and knowing who to talk to which can be difficult if you are always on the client site or new to the firm. Employees have a set billability rate but it can be difficult to track and not very transparent as to what rate is used during annual review

Pros

Intelligent, committed, fun people who care about producing good work for Capco clients

Cons

Partners are disconnected from their staff and pay lip service to the idea of being a meritocracy while focusing on profits. Favouritism is rampant, and unless you are a favourite or related to a partner, you are wasting time as far as career progression goes. It's not consulting, it's a body shop.

Pros

My experience only (Austria+Germany).. - most people in non-management roles

Cons

My experience only (Austria+Germany).. - staff in management roles is focused on profitability and billability only - intransparent communication from management - company engages in a lot of body leasing, and cannot compete with Big4 for functional more interesting projects - try to avoid paying bonus with "interesting" conditions in the contract (even though when it's a mandatory "bonus" based on being sent to a different location for a project) - company is not "entrepreneurial" as it claims to be That was enough to leave just after 5 months.. A lot of opportunities elsewhere..
