      Pros

      In general the people are smart and talented. To get what you want, you have to be vocal about it.

      Cons

      I've worked on several projects and your happiness really relies on what project your on. I've felt because of the economy there have been a lot of cut backs.

      Pros

      CGI is really good with team work and work-life balance. Management recognizes its employees' need to balance their work and personal lives.

      Cons

      CGI is all about the bottomline, billable time and will place you in roles and give you responsibilities that do not necessarily match your career focus.

      Good work/life balance but undefined career path

      Pros

      Excellent work/life balance. for a consulting organization it offers far more vacation time and fewer hours per week than most other consulting groups. management in certain business units is excellent and they listen to the people in that group.

      Cons

      still very fragmented. business units competing against each other makes it difficult to share resources between groups. Despite adding an additional Title, there is still no defined career path. This is disappointing to younger employees who need a "ladder" to aspire towards. Review process is largely ignored or given the backseat to client/project obligations. This does show dedication to the client but management should definitely show that their employees are important too.
