Challenging work, good health insurance, long paid vacation, company buses for employees

Cons

Traffic congestion on the "Plateau de Saclay", public transportation infrastructures did not scaled. For PhD students: the paid vacation you don't take is lost.

Pros

Working at CEA-Cadarache was a great experience. There is a lot of top-notch high-tech being done at Cadarache. Also the multicultural environment makes it a great place to work.

Cons

Eventually, you might find out that you need to learn the French language to be able to enjoy life outside work. However, I would not say this is something bad, on the contrary your brain will be delighted to be challenged to learn a new language. Not to forget French is a beautiful tongue and it has a lot of importance worldwide.
