Pros

Easy to get promoted if you're a half-way decent worker. They're always hiring so it's not hard to get a job.

Cons

Upper-management has no idea how restaurants work. They want you to do the same business as the closest McDonald's with the same speed and a quarter of the labor hours. The budget they give restaurants for repairs and new equipment may as well be nonexistent. For three years we dealt with a roof that poured water from one side of the building to the other every time it rained. Corporate refused to pay for a new roof so we just painted over it. They take serious advantage of their salaried managers. I was working at least 70 hours per week and if you spread my salary out hourly it came out well below minimum wage.

Pros

Time goes by fast, good for your first job and if it is temporary or for experience.

Cons

Rude customers that think they are better than you,. no benefits, managers were illegally docking staff's pay by saying our register's were short, we'd be threatened to be written up if we didn't let them cash our check through them and let them dock us. They got away with it cause I was young and stupid and some were in compromising states in their life's like probation.
