Pros

Some very nice people, pretty good salary for the start of your career, I think it is a positive experience in your life, especially if you want to work in customer service

Cons

Not a very interesting job, you do the same thing every day. But It wasn't bad at all, so I don't have any more cons to list.

Pros

Co-workers are lovely and bubbly, multicultural and most of the management is not stuck up as they have climbed up the ladder themselves. Some forget though.

Cons

Uncertainly as some management methods and ways to deal with things and people are inconsistantm so it can be confusing. Not always transparent management. Overtime not paid unless authorized and many times there is not chance of finishing in time (customer on the phone, a case needs finishing etc. Can tak up to an hour or more.)

Booking.com Response

Hi and thanks for the review. From what you have said, I assume that you are working in Customer Services. I am glad you like working in our diverse environment, the colleagues at Rentalcars.com are an amazing bunch. I completely agree with you that Managers should be transparent and explain "why" we are doing things or why a decision is made in a particular way. We should also be consistent across departments. As you will be aware as well as the investment in the Sunlight House refurbishment we are also launching a "New World" in terms of the way we are structured and rewarded. As part of this we are also going to be doing a lot more training, firstly,to help multi-skill our colleagues but also help our Managers to manage more effectively in our new world. If you were at our recent all colleague update, I hope you will recognise the role that our Values have to play in this and Ian's strong message about how we will be going forward. Around 100 of your colleagues have been involved in Focus groups, around creating our New World (you may have been one of them I don't know) but if you have any ideas or suggestions the team would be delighted to hear them.
