Pros
Relatively good salary in comparison with other retail banks in the city. Brand name (in Russia is not very popular but when abroad you don't need to explain who you work for)
Cons
Very bureaucratic,inflexible and slow in decision making. Every serious move should be approved by HQ in the UK. Hard to hire new people if hiring is not mentioned in the budget. Tons of internal documents, politics and other papers. In order to cover your back you have to save all emails + print them (just in case). People work not to satisfy the customer's demands but to satisfy the auditors requirements. Literally, atmosphere of fear inside the bank. Bank's employees are treated differently and divided into two groups:those who worked for Expobank before the acquisition in 2008 and those who came after 2008. People in the so called "Expobank" group are paid less.
