None at all. Zero. Nothing.

The reviews on here are true. This business only cares about one thing. Money. You are just a number. They brainwash you into believing in ‘ b and m speed’. They say it like it’s a positive thing. It simply means they will force you to work faster and longer. Including after hours and days off. Don’t believe the hype. Even the employability team are pedalling lies. Bragging about interviewing 10,000 jobseekers by boring then to death with ‘ all things b and m’. How many of the 10,000 got a job ??? Not many, as wage budgets are cut without a thought to the knock on effect. Do not work here. It will affect your mental health. It will steal your home time and ruin your life. There are jobs out there that actually will respect you as a human. The senior mgt here are Neanderthals. Knuckle draggers. All they really want to do is kick boxes around and scare you. Do not fall for it. Stay away. I feel so sorry for the few decent human beings that are left there. My god get out quick.

Colleagues are friendly, most likely because we all have to work together and we are all in the same boat

Cons

1. Pay 2. Staff levels 3. Loads of stock to work, noone to work it 4. Freedom to retail has gone. 5. Constant visits from Mystery Shoppers, upper management. 6. Each year we loose staff, never replaced, take loads of money but a tiny percentage is given as wages. 7. Expect you to work to ur bone all day. 8. Don't stick to what times you are available to work. 9. Alex Ruso. Enough said 10. AMs and higher treat you like slaves. Never chip in and work. 11. Stocktakes & supporting stores. 12. Supervisor on 30p extra an hour and managers on 26p extra from Supervisor, makes you NOT want to progress. (2024) 13. Stress 14. £10 xmas bonus. Slap in the face. 15. Don't tell them u drive, u will be roped into going other "local" stores when they need help.
