Pros

10% discount if you can call that a pro, not including electrical items so really what's the point?

Cons

Management are out right abusive and inappropriate, going as far as borderline sexually harassing the youngest staff members. Never any staff on shift, but instead of hiring extra, competent staff were expected to do the work of several people. Health and safety is non existent, actually had the ceiling in the toilets fall on me and when it was reported the deputy manager laughed in my face. Not one first aid trained member of management or staff on shift, rats and mice running loose around the warehouse and half eaten food put out on sale. Security is an absolute shambles, I had to stop a shop lifter on my own because the guard was "having a brew" the shoplifter made threats to stab me and the next day the same security guard allowed them back in store. Again the same guard harassing female members of staff in front of customers, telling them they want a strip search, completely unacceptable. Deliveries are left out side all day whether it's rain or shine, full pallets of perishable food left baking in the sun for hours only adding to the rodent situation, warehouse equipment is unsafe, I noted the forklift truck needed the brakes fixing and fluids changing and was unsafe, i was told "don't be a wimp" To name a few other issues: Uneven floors Toilets not flushing Ceilings falling down Lockers without doors Fire doors left open and falling of hinges No air conditioning Automatic doors constantly breaking Tills not working correctly Incorrect wages, every single month despite using a clock in and out system, and being told we'd have to wait another month for missing wages.

Modern day slavery

Pros

-Probably meeting other nice workers there, apart from that really nothing.

Cons

-Very underpaid. Working as a warehouse operator and doing picking of items makes you like a slave. The staff are just horrible. The most stupid, racist and narcissistic people i've ever seen. Although I am a student, i am treated like the a slave. Really hard targets, long working hours, really small, unpaid break. From a 12 hours shifts you are allowed only one hour break divided in two halves. If you are late even 10 seconds when coming back from a break, 15 minutes of payment are cut off your ballance. Also being told that you can't leave for a toilet break if you're not 'on Target' by one of the warehouse supervisors is not a pleasant thing either. Basically you are treated like a slave and you are expected to behave like one. No further career options, no benefits, no payment extra for weekend and night shifts. Absolutely would not recommend.
