Pros

Career progression is there provided your face fits and the salary is undoubtedly excellent. Struggling to think of anything else.

Cons

There appears to be no long-term plan, it is a completely reactive environment. And then there's the constant re-structuring, downsizing and the negative impact this has on the staff who remain there. In the last 12 years I spent with the firm I had to apply for my job 13 times. A colleague of mine was doing the work that seven people had been doing the year before. The organisation was shambolic and I'm pretty sure everyone made redundant when I left the firm would have won a case at tribunal.

Pros

Aviva has a clear, simple and compelling strategy. The organisation is committed to developing its employees.

Cons

Insurance is a market under great disruption and Aviva is very up for the challenge, it just need to get this message out more.
